This 2.25 inch button template has a 2.625 inch (66.7 mm) cut circle, a 2.25 inch (57.2 mm) face circle and a 2.063 inch (52.4 mm) safe area, with 9 buttons per US Letter sheet and 6 per A4 sheet. What each line on the template means
- Cut line (2.625 in / 66.7 mm)
- Cut the paper here. Everything between the cut line and the face line wraps around the edge of the button, so extend your background color or photo all the way to the cut line.

- The visible front of the finished button.

The cut line follows the 2.625 inch graphic size that American Button Machines and Tecre publish for 2.25 inch buttons. The safe area uses the 2.063 inch picture size from Tecre's 2.25 inch button layout.
How to use the 2.25 inch button template
- Download the US Letter or A4 PDF.
- Place your design or photo in each circle so it reaches the cut line, with text inside the safe area. The PDF can go under your designs in Canva, Photoshop or Illustrator. Keep the cut lines visible so they print.
- Print at Actual size or 100%, with Fit to page turned off.
- Check the 1 inch calibration square or measure one cut circle. It should be 2.625 inches (66.7 mm).
- Cut on the cut line with a 2.625 inch circle cutter, then press the button.
2.25 inch pin template sizes and machines
2.25 inch is one of the most common button sizes, used for photo buttons, event pins and campaign buttons.If your machine's paper circle is a different size, use the cut size printed in its manual.
Using it as a 58mm button template
58mm button presses, common in the UK, Europe and Canada, take shells the same size as 2.25 inch buttons. If your press uses a 66.7 mm paper circle, this file works as a 58mm button template, a 58mm pin template or a 58mm badge template. Lay one of your machine's paper circles over a cut line to check before you print a full run. This sheet uses the US 66.7 mm (2.625 inch) cut circle. Many UK and European 58mm badge presses punch a larger paper circle of about 70 mm. The circles on this sheet are too close together to cut at 70 mm without overlapping, so a 70 mm press needs a sheet laid out for 70 mm circles.
